Global Recloser Control Market Outlook
"The Recloser Control Market size is expected to be worth around US$ xx Billion by 2021 from US$ X.xx million in 2031, growing at a CAGR of X.x% during the forecast period 2021 to 2031."
Recloser control is a device used in overhead distribution systems to clear faults in circuits. Recloser control improves serviceability by restoring power to the line after a momentary fault. Recloser control offers various benefits such as earth fault and sensitive earth fault protection, auto reclosing, instantaneous metering, event log, demand logger, and RTU for remote control in a single enclosure.
Recloser control is classified into two types – hydraulic control or electronic control. Hydraulic recloser control is mainly used in single-phase reclosers and three-phase reclosers. Electronic recloser controls are used mostly in three-phase reclosers and single-phase reclosers.
Rising demand for electric supply automation, for better quality and reliability and increasing use of electrical equipment and devices coupled with growing demand for proper protection of these devices are major factors driving the growth of the global recloser control market. In addition, increasing investments into the upgradation of mature substations and feeder line protection is another factor expected to fuel growth of the global recloser control market over the forecast period.
However, high costs associated with the procurement of recloser control devices is a major factor restraining growth of the global recloser control market. Additionally, the availability of alternatives for recloser control is another factor expected to hamper growth of the global market to a significant extent.
The market in Asia Pacific is expected to account for highest share in terms of revenue and is expected to maintain its dominance over the forecast period. This dominance can be attributed to increasing investments into upgradation of electrical grids in emerging economies such as China, Japan, and India.
The market in North America is expected to register significant growth followed by Europe over the forecast period, owing to rising demand for renewable energy sources in the region. Moreover, the market in Latin America, the Middle East & Africa is expected to register moderate growth in the target market over the forecast period.
